E-vignette system 2026 – new prices for 2026
2026 e-vignette changes and official fee table
The relevant regulation has been published, so the 2026 e-vignette prices are now official. In addition, the new M1 regional vignette will be introduced, as well as a discounted county vignette for Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén. Moreover, the M6 motorway section up to Ivándárda (to the state border) will become toll-road.
Based on the 34/2025. (XI. 30.) ÉKM decree published in issue 143 of the Hungarian Gazette, the following changes will apply in the e-vignette system from 2026.
New e-vignette prices from 1 January 2026
The fees valid in 2026 are official and available on our website.
New product: M1 regional annual e-vignette
From 2026, the new, discounted M1 regional vignette will be available. It is valid for the entire tolled expressway network of the counties Pest, Fejér, Komárom-Esztergom and Győr-Moson-Sopron.
Price:
- 15,000 HUF – D1, D1M, U categories
- 30,000 HUF – D2 category
The purpose of the new vignette type is to compensate for expected congestion and difficulties due to the planned widening of the M1 motorway.
Discounted Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county annual vignette
In 2026, a discounted annual vignette will also be available for Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, to compensate for inconveniences caused by construction issues and closures affecting the M30 Miskolc–Szikszó section.
Price:
- 2,500 HUF – D1, D1M, U categories
- 5,000 HUF – D2 category
The tolled road network expands
From 2026, the M6 motorway up to Ivándárda, i.e. the section reaching the state border, will become toll-road.
Expanded eligibility for toll exemption
Free road use up to the first exit will apply to:
- vehicles of neighbouring countries’ road operators,
- vehicles classified as vintage (historic) under the regulation.
The exemption is not automatic; it must be requested and renewed annually under the conditions set out in the applicable regulation.
Clarification of refund rules
The amendment also clarifies the conditions for refunds of multiple purchased entitlements, in the 45/2020. (XI. 28.) ITM decree on toll motorways, expressways, main roads and their fees.

Following the amendment of the 45/2020. (XI. 28.) ITM decree, from 1 January 2026 the e-vignette prices will be as follows.

Surcharges – from 1 January 2026
According to the 45/2020. (XI. 28.) ITM decree, the surcharges valid from 1 January 2026 are as follows:
- Base surcharge (if paid within 60 days): 27,790 HUF.
- Increased surcharge (if paid after 60 days): 95,730 HUF.
Difference surcharge – from 1 January 2026
According to the 45/2020. (XI. 28.) ITM decree, the difference surcharge valid from 1 January 2026 is as follows:
- Base difference surcharge (if paid within 60 days): 15,530 HUF.
- Increased difference surcharge (if paid after 60 days): 49,190 HUF.
